A personal note about France, life, passions, and more… Saturday 28.9.2024
Bonjour friends: supporters.
Welcome, to you, whether you’re a new or a long-time supporter of le Bulletin, I’m thrilled you are here. Thank you for your financial support, it means so much to me!
This week, I’d like to spend some time exploring France. All too often we spend time in Paris, and we all know why… as few people don’t like Paris. However, France has so much more to offer and that’s where I want to go today. Just a peep into that world…
Now let’s look at what’s happening in France and at MyFrenchLife Magazine. Thank you for reading and support, it means the world to me. I hope that you have a wonderful week ahead.
Regards

1. Paris is not France: France is not Paris
Here at MyFrenchLife Magazine and le Bulletin newsletter, I try to pass on information, tips, lists, and recommendations of magic places beyond Paris.
Over the years we’ve published many articles on regions, cities, towns, and villages beyond Paris. for example here is one series focused on ‘France off-the-beaten path’.
It’s a widely held view that many wonderful places in France are not given enough credit and are worth a detour… I refer you to the Substack of Betty Carlson called ‘France in Between’ as but one example. Betty says:
“In between quaint villages and bustling cities, off the freeways yet not on the backroads, there lies another France: the France of small to middling towns.
Even having lived here for 34 years, I can’t get enough of them.”
