Delightful as always Judy! And another visit added to my list Betty, Your description and beautiful phots of Marcolès are very enticing, it sounds busy though, perhaps a trip during the winter months!

Thank you both - have a great week!

Thanks for your kind words, Susie

Actually autumn and spring are my favourite months :)

Susie I went in early November and it was very quiet. I suspect anytime but summer would be fine as long as there was no special event going on. The surrounding countryside is lovely too. Your list is growing!

There is so much to do just roaming around Aveyron...that was my main France-related hobby for well over a decade -- at the time I was doing quite a bit of hiking, too. I finally feel like I have a pretty good handle on what there is to see here, although there are plenty of places I'd love to get back to.

I still haven’t visited even half of the places I want to Betty, either here in the Aveyron or in France… time is always lacking - honestly, I cannot wait to retire!

The great thing about Aveyron is the variety. All right, we don’t have the sea but there’s always Le Lac de Pareloup…

The sea would be the only addition Id make if ever it were possible Betty, we are a long way off that though so yes, Le Lac de Pareloup or even any of the numerous rivers will do just fine!

It was super interesting to read about a first-hand experience with 'L'Entrecôte". I've seen it, observed it from the sidewalk, but never been there.

Thanks Betty, it's such an institution for some!
