#FranceStack™
A Francophile dream resource: Find the best Substacks for Francophiles in one place - introducing #FranceStack™
Updated 6.5.24: The total number of Substacks about France on #FranceStack™ is now 56 after I added a wonderful new entry today! …and we’re counting - watch this space as we grow… Welcome to the new #FranceStackers :)
Bonjour writers, readers, and those who love the best of France.
Discover #FranceStack™ and why it may be a great discovery for you.
My name is Judy MacMahon and I’m a Francophile who appreciates France beyond the cliché, I’m always searching for more and deeper information about France. I’m a very curious person who loves to collaborate. After 13 years of building, working hard, and loving MyFrenchLife™ Magazine and le Bulletin newsletter, I recently moved to Substack with >10,000 readers. I’m loving it.
Recently I’ve been thinking that I’d like to form a group of Substack writers who are either in France, writing about France, or those who are in some way connected with France. Great writing that Francophiles will be drawn to!
1. I intend to make it easy for readers to:
. find great articles about France (mainly in English) and
· find great substack writers to follow.
2. And then I thought I’d love to gather all of us who write about France together to enjoy each other’s company, network, and maybe even collaborate.
I’m hoping that we can create both things:
· A rich, deep Francophile reader resource and
· a Substack writer network of those who’d like to collaborate and form a community of writers in France. Are you in?
Substack is such a rich resource. What you’ll find below is the first flush… a sample.
I’ll work on building this resource over time – shout out to me if you’d like to be added and I’ll keep working on it!
To navigate at the moment follow alphabetically.
*This little graphic represents us all #collaborating
Important note:
I’m not necessarily a subscriber or regular reader of the Substacks listed below and am not endorsing their content, I’m merely adding it to build this into a meaningful resource.
If your Substack is listed below and I didn’t describe it accurately or made errors, please accept my apology and email me so that I can make the required edits: info [at] myfrenchlife.org.
If you’d like your Substack to be added to the list please email me at the above address or tell me in the comments,
And importantly please feel free to email just to say hi or even better still post a shout-out to your francophile friends, or writers in the comments below!
This is a ‘living repository’ - I’ll be updating this directory, so please come back to check it out soon. You’ll find that it’s organised alphabetically and will later hopefully be searchable - if anyone knows how to do that, you might shout out :) merci d’avance.
So… this is the launch of #FranceStack™ and it’s here for you.
Merci mille fois
Judy
